Publication Guidelines

Objectives:

1. The guidelines are binding for all Faculty, Undergraduate, post graduate and Diploma Students of the institute
2. The guidelines serve to standardize the publication process ofthe institution
3. The guidelines avoid scientific misconduct in the publication process ofthe institution.

Guidelines:

1. All the Publications sent by the Faculty & students should mandatorily has the Institution name (Dr. Mthakao Vikhe Patil Foundation's College of Nursing, Ahilyanagar.) in the Author Affliation details.
2. The ProjectVdissertation/thesis if published should have Students name who *" p.i.ury investigaton as the first author.
3. The guide's name should mandatorily be included as the second author/corresponding author if its Students Projectddissertation/thesis
4. The Guide and the Student can publish the Projects only after consent from each other.
5. All surdents /faculty are advised to submit the manuscripts in UGC CARE LIST /Scopus A eb of science Indexed Joumals only.

6. Publications in UGC CARE LIST/WOS/SCOPUS indexed Joumals are ONLY Considered for Performance Appraisal or Promotion.
7. The Authorship should be justified with sufiicient contribution in the Project.
8. The First author should be the researcher on whom the ethical Letter of the Project is iszued.
9. If the Student /Faculty has joined other institution before publishing, the permission of them is necessary to publish.
10. All successfirl Publications should be reported to the lnstitution with Hard & soft copy of the Pr.rblished article.

Softwares For Research

1. Softwear for Statistical analysis:

OpenEpi provides statistics for counts and measurements in descriptive and analytic studies, stratified analysis with exact confidence limits, matched pair and person-time analysis, sample size and power calculations, random numbers, sensitivity, specificity and other evaluation statistics, R x C tables, chi-square for dose-response, and links to other useful sites. OpenEpi is free and open source software for epidemiologic statistics.

2. Anti Plagirism Softwear:

Institute has taken subscription of “URKUND” antiplagirism softwear. Students and Teachers of the institute can check plagirism contents of the research papers and thesis through URKUND. URKUND is a completely automated system against plagiarism (Anti-plagiarism software) and is being successfully used at universities and colleges all around the world. URKUND's system checks all documents against three central source areas: a. The Internet b. Published material such as Journals, Books etc. c. Previously submitted student material (e.g. memoranda, case studies and examination works)

3. Grammer Checker:

Grammer and spell check softwears are recommended to all teachers and students. This softwears check identifies the spelling or sentence structure mistakes for the people too so that the error percentage in any document is reduced as much as possible. Other than detecting the error, sentence checker also helps people to correct the errors by providing them the suggestion of how to fix it.
