Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s, College of Nursing, Ahmednagar, is recognized by Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
The institute was established with RGNM Programme in the year 2005 with intake capacity of 20, Basic B.Sc.Nursing in the year 2008 with intake capacity of 50, Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing in the year 2010 with intake capacity of 30 and Master in Nursing in the year 2017 in 03 disciplines with intake capacity of 16 (Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental health Nursing and Community Health Nursing) and in the year 2022 in 02 disciplines with intake of capacity of 10 (Child Health Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing) is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
The college is part of the Vikhe Patil Foundation campus, covering three acres. It was established in 2005 by Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil to uplift rural healthcare. Hon. Shri. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Dr. Sujay Vikhe Patil are committed to providing holistic nursing education, preparing rural youths for professional excellence. Their vision is to offer quality education, ensuring graduates meet global standards in the 21st century. The college empowers individuals for professional and financial stability.
Aiming towards building a holistic culture and values the individuality of each student to uplift the innate potential. The extreme shortage of medical facilities promoted Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation to establish Medical College at Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar in 2004. Under the able guidance and mature insight of the founder Late. Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padmabhushan Awardee), the institute has acquired remarkable achievements both in terms of academic & health services at the grass root level.
